National Route 54 of the National Cycle Network will run from Stourport to Parsley Hay via Kidderminster, Dudley, Lichfield, Burton and Derby. Open Sections

The route is open and traffic-free along the Staffordshire & Worcestershire canal towpath between听Stourport and Kidderminster.听

The next open section is between听Stourbridge听and听Dudley听from where the only current open route is to follow听National Route 81听to Sandwell听and thenNational Route 5to Creswell Green.

National Route 54 is then open through听Burton upon Trent听and听Derby to Little Eaton.

On the White Peak Loop, the route is open听on the High Peak Trail,听country lanes and the Manifold Trail听between听High Peak Junction听and Waterhouses, on the Old Churnet Rail Trail between Oakamoor听and Denstone听and mainly on minor roads between Uttoxeter听and Hilton.
